Things in Sweetbriar Ridge is moving and by moving new places are popping up and new people. One new person she never expected to see was her old high school crush, Reid Baylor. Her family knows she can be quite opinionated, never shying away from her well outbursts but knowing that her ex-boss is causing all the drama just doesn’t sit well with her. Seems now everyone in town think she did it and though he may not admit she knows Reid is feeling cautious to her. Of all the towns he lived in during his younger years something about Sweetbriar always made him smile. One particular person though is not happy to see him which is understandable considering he saw her undies. Only thing is it wasn’t meant to happen and now it seems the past is coming back to him again with undies. Something about Ashlynn Donovan just makes him go all flustered. Her beauty alone gets him but it’s her take charge, no bullshit attitude that really makes him fall for her all over again. Friendship with her is not an option because all it takes is one kiss to make him see how right they will be together. Being a firefighter has always been his dream job and now in a small town like Sweetbriar he knows he can move up but knowing his heart is on the line might change things. He knows Ashlynn is the one but someone is trying to sabotage her new beauty salon and accusing her of arson. Reid knows she is innocent but as the investigation goes he’s starting to wonder if he really knows his Ashlynn. Love is hard especially for a woman who was abanadoned by the first man to ever give her love. On the outside she is tough but he knows in the inside she is still that little girl who just wants to know she can be loved and not feel alone. Can he be there for her when his job is on the line? Can he continue to love a woman who might be guilty of creating the towns oldest beauty salon to burn down?
The Donovan family is going through a hard time with lots of changes now with the news that changed their family in Levi’s story. Now we have Ashlynn, one of the twins in the family and boy is she different from her sister, Chloe. Ashlynn is the type of girl that doesn’t take anything seriously and instead has an opinion to everything definitely not the timid, shy type. It was quite exciting to see her with Reid, now here is a man who can make this girl well all nervous. Years ago they had quite an encounter that never left her memory and boy seeing him again all these years is so not what she needed right now. Yet no matter how things are going with Reid she is feeling something that scares her, love. Each day with him is making her see how good it can be yet afraid to really let her heart in because of what happened in the past with her family. Not only is she figuring out what a relationship with Reid can be like she has to fight now to prove her innocence. Reid loves her but his dreams has always been to be a firefighter and much more so this town is the key to making all that happen. He never imagined when finding love he would have to choose, the girl or the career. As a Donovan she is nothing like her siblings, who know what they want, going for it and now that she is ready someone wants to kill her dreams from coming true. Samantha Chase not only shows us two sides of Ashlynn, the strong and vulnerable but we also see a man who willing to sacrifice his dreams for the woman he loves. Totally loved this between them and boy seeing Sweetbriar going through this whole town restoration is just awesome can’t wait to see which Donovan will be next.
